Waylon
They gave up on him because he was getting older… so now WE’RE going to make sure his ending is the BEST EVER. 💕🐾
Meet Waylon — an approximately 8-year-old, 45-pound Australian Cattle Dog who has decided that 8 is absolutely NOT old enough to retire from being someone’s best friend. 😎🐾
Waylon is a good boy with LOTS of love left to give. He enjoys car rides, so if you’re looking for a distinguished gentleman who is always ready to say, “Where are we going?” — Waylon is your guy. Just buckle him in and LET’S RIDE! (Inside the cab, please. We’re trying to keep this gentleman safe.)
Waylon is losing his eyesight, but don’t let that fool you — he gets around just fine and it certainly hasn’t slowed him down! Because his vision is declining, he can be a little protective of his food and bones. No biggie! We’ve figured out the system: he eats in his crate and enjoys his bone on his bed. Problem solved. ❤️
He gets along with other dogs and will even run with the big dogs! He isn’t a fan of the little ones and, while he isn’t mean to them, he doesn’t exactly understand the concept of respecting their personal space. 😂 So, homes with dogs 30 pounds or larger are the best fit for this guy.
Honestly, Waylon would be a fantastic companion for someone looking for a loyal, easygoing buddy. Someone who wants a dog to ride along on car trips, enjoy a leisurely neighborhood stroll, then come home and settle in for a Cowboys game this fall. 🏈🐾
He doesn’t ask for much.
A comfy bed.
A safe home.
Someone to love him.
Maybe a few car rides.
And a person who understands that 8 years old doesn’t mean the best years are behind you.
Because Waylon has plenty of living, loving, riding and tail-wagging left to do. ❤️ Don’t let his story end - Let’s make the rest of his life the BEST part of his life. 🥹❤️🐾
