Meet Tina-the survivor- she is a Cocker Spaniel around 6 years old. This amazing girl is finally ready for her forever home. Tina loves love and being carried/held like a toddler:) She is a great companion and wants to hangout with her family, sleep on the bed, and snuggle on the couch.
Tina was found in horrible shape, she has survived heartworms and three surgeries for removal of several mammary tumors - throughout it all she has kept her lively, loving spirit.
Being a spaniel she will need regular groomings, a secure backyard, and a strong leader. She would be fantastic if you ever wanted to do scent work. Tina would do well as an only dog or one other (preferably male) dog, she wants to be touching you and gets jealous. NO CATS- she doesn’t hurt them but hunts, chases and barks.
Tina is very special to her foster and everyone that has been around her the last 7 months, and we are looking for her perfect fit.
Tina’s adoption fee is $175 which includes her vaccinations, microchip, spay, heartworm negative test (this is after her testing positive when found and receiving treatment) and monthly heartworm preventative. It will be very important she is kept on heartworm preventative as she will be more susceptible to heartworms. Come meet Tina Saturday 11-2 at 8901 highway 87 building 119.
