Meet Nova – The Sweetest Gentle Giant!
Nova is a 1.5-year-old Cane Corso with a heart as big as her paws. Her journey hasn’t been easy—she was found abandoned on a lonely county road, underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and showing signs of recently having puppies. Despite her rough start, Nova’s resilience shines through—she is now healthy, thriving, and ready to find her forever family.
At about 90 pounds, Nova is a big girl who thinks she’s a lap dog. She loves nothing more than to snuggle on the couch (even if she has to be reminded it’s not her spot!). Her soulful, milk-chocolate eyes will melt you instantly. Nova is smart, sweet, and playful. She carries her stuffed “babies” around the house with pride, and on walks, she even likes to “help” by carrying her foster sister’s leash.
Nova enjoys chicken and waffle treats, chew toys (a must to keep her happy!), and her kennel for bedtime. She’s still learning that harnesses aren’t scary, but she’s making progress every day. Loud noises and sudden movements can startle her, a reminder that she’s had some tough experiences, but with patience and love, she relaxes quickly.
She’s wonderful with kids, great with other dogs, and even shares her treats with her foster cat sisters. Nova’s the full package—affectionate, loyal, and always ready to give slobbery kisses.
Nova has brought so much joy to her foster family, and now she’s ready for her next chapter. She’s looking for an active, loving home with plenty of cuddles, patience, and maybe a couch she can sneak onto when no one’s looking.
