Mitzi
đ Meet Mitzi đ
Mitzi is a special girl who has taken the long road toward learning that people can be trusted. She came into rescue with her sister, Kitzi, after the two were trapped as feral kittens and brought indoors when medical care was needed. While her sister had some health concerns initially, Mitzi has remained healthy and is currently doing very well.
Because of her feral beginnings, Mitzi has been very slow to trust humans. Earning her trust has taken lots of time, patience, and understandingâbut she has made wonderful progress! Today, she will accept gentle pets when sheâs in the mood, although she still prefers affection to happen on her own terms. Mitzi isnât looking for someone to rush her. Sheâs looking for someone who will appreciate her exactly as she is and allow their relationship to grow at her pace.
One of Mitziâs favorite activities is sitting by the window, watching the birds and keeping an eye on everything happening outside. đŚ She also loves spending time and cuddling with her sister, Kitzi. The girls would make a wonderful pair if someone wanted to adopt them together, although they are not considered bonded and can be adopted separately.
Mitzi is FeLV positive and has the progressive form of FeLV. She is currently healthy and enjoying life, but progressive FeLV can mean a shortened lifespan and the possibility of additional veterinary needs in the future. Her adopter should be prepared to provide appropriate ongoing veterinary care.
Because of her FeLV status, Mitzi should be an only cat or share her home with another FeLV-positive kitty.
Mitzi may never be the cat who immediately jumps into a strangerâs lapâand thatâs part of what makes earning her affection so meaningful. â¤ď¸ She needs a quiet, patient home with someone willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. For the right person, watching this once-feral girl continue to learn about love and trust will be something truly special.
Mitzi is available for adoption. Her adoption fee will be discussed with the right adoptor. She is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is spayed.
