These Facebook famous brothers are finally available for private meetings!!!
Rocky was trapped at 114th and Milwaukee thanks to community volunteers and The Helping Hands Dog Rescue, after weeks of sightings. It just so happened that his foster family came across post about a dog at H‑E‑B that looked just like Rocky.
After doing some FB research, the fosters came across a photo of the two of them posted in Overton in June and knew they had to reunite them.Again, thanks to The Helping Hands Dog Rescue, the H‑E‑B dog, Drago, was trapped.
Thanks to many people in the Lubbock animal community, these boys have been reunited!!
Rocky and Drago took no time at all to settle in as pets. They are extremely affectionate with their foster family and prefer to be with their people. They love to play with other dogs. With consistency, they learn very quickly. They are getting access to the rest of the house little-by-little as they learn inside noises. They eat and sleep in separate crates, and go right in when told…. and they prefer a nightlight when it’s dark.
While they do great together, they do have distinct personalities. Their foster family thinks they might do okay if separated, especially if going to a home with another dog.
Their adoption fee for the pair is $300. Otherwise, it is $175/each. They are fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative. If you would like to meet one or both of these handsome boys please email adoptions.spspca@ gmail.com and we will set up a time.
