Gabby is a 5 year old full boxer that was owner surrendered when her people could no longer care for her due to the owners medical issues.
If you looked up boxer dog characteristics Gabby would be pictured there. She is the epitome of a boxer. Even though she is 5 years old she has the energy of a younger dog. This girl has springs and could out bounce Tigger on any given day.
She gets along with her foster’s 9 year old male boxer, but is selective about her female doggie friends. Slow introductions would be best with any new dog friends. She would likely do well in a single dog home. She is too interested in cats for her foster moms comfort and probably should not be in a home with them.
She loves people and being close to them. Due to her extra bouncy nature she might know down small children. She did good meeting her fosters 2 yr old and 4 yr old grandchildren while she was on leash. She just wanted to sniff them and give them kisses. Gabby is crate trained and would do best crated when her people aren’t home due to some possible separation anxiety. She should not be left outside unattended for long periods of time. She will get bored and find things to get into. She would also get cold or overheat easily due to her body build and breed. Gabby’s adoption fee is $175 which includes vaccinations, microchip, spay, heartworm negative test with monthly preventative.
